Dear Baby: Week 7 into 8

Hey there my little gummy bear!

You are the size of a raspberry this week. Or a peanut. Little baby peanut!

We had a lot of firsts today- June 14th 2014 - We went to the doctor for the first time. We officially officially decided that the due date is February 20th 2015. AH crayyyyy. We did the whole questions and blood and urine testing stuff. It seemed all normal and good to me, nothing crazy. We did get to have an ultrasound done! YAY! Our doctor doesn't usually do them until 20 weeks because it is unnecessary but we really wanted one earlier, so we said yea lets go see how its all going, make sure there really is a baby in there, make sure there is a heartbeat, and see if you are really the size we think you are.

look at how little and cute you are!
You are the crescent moon looking thing and
the large blob above is my full bladder.
Well turns out you are looking wonderful in there! We didn't get to actually hear the heartbeat but Andrew and the tech got to see it and they said it looks strong, beautiful, and GREAT! What a relief! It was such a happy feeling when he said that and it made it all real to see that there really is something in there. Andrew said that it looked like jello shaking. hahaha well I'm glad you look like jello! It is all starting to feel real. I can't wait to feel you kicking and moving in there.

This past week has been pretty good. I had the weekend off for my birthday and it was awesome! We (me, justina, and emily) went to Taryn's (my cousin) baby shower. It was really fun to hang out with family. Then us girls went shopping and I got some new shoes YAY! and it was fun just getting to chill with the girls.
I got a Pirate cake! yay :)
On Sunday - MY BIRTHDAY- we went to church then just came home and relaxed, cleaned up a bit, and I made lasagna for dinner. Yea I made dinner because I was craving lasagna and I just wanted to make it and have something really yummy. I made it and had the sisters over with the boys too. It was delish. I felt spoiled and loved all day. I got some water shoes, a fishing reel, jewelry, these really comfy sandals, and a cute shirt. Then we had the most delicious ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I love that stuff!

A lovely Taeden Photo Bomb. ahaha I love this.
Its been a nice week. Not too hecktic. not too crazy. not a ton of nausea, still lots of fatigue but sometimes I do feel a little more burst of energy or at least not feeling as tired, as I have been.

I feel like the weeks are actually going by pretty quickly. Maybe it doesn't feel that way day to day but I feel like summer is just flying by and before we know it we will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary! AH crazy. I am trying to enjoy all the day to day things and life. It can be hard when I just go to work every day but it has its moments. Can't wait until next week for my family to be here. then we get to hang out a lot and not work a lot and then its time for Lake Powell. SO much fun in the next few weeks I love it! and when its over I think its going to be pretty depressing. Let's not think about that right now!

Heres to hoping I keep feeling good. and staying healthy.

Stay healthy and happy little peanut.

I love you.
love, your momma

I'm Feeling 22..

July was such an amazing month. I have so much to share. I am so sad it is over but it is nice to get back into the normal swing of things. and to be with Andrew more and not apart. that was sad.

We spent the fourth of July in St. George with Andrews family. It was awesome to get away. Especially after being at my internship everyday for the past week and a half. It was time for a get away. We did fireworks with the neighbors and watched the city ones from far away. Andrew also lit off his lot. It is so magical to see fireworks. I absolutely love it.

When we went back to Provo we had two days and then we were off to Kansas!!! YIPPIE! I hadn't been there since two christmases ago! AH crazzzy. We were only there for a few days but it was wonderful. We had to hit up all of the yummy places to eat like, Jose Peppers, this amazing thai place, and Sheridan's frozen custard. I also went to the dentist and the eye doctor, which was awesome. I can't wait to get my new glasses this week. I think they have a good modern but also old school nerdy look. LOVE IT. and they are teal on the inside. I could talk these up for days. Hopefully they look as good as I remember.

Of course we had to spend a day at Schlitterbahn. Love love love that place. They have slowly been building one in Kansas City and every time we go they add something new. This year they had a couple new slides and rapids. SO much fun. We had a blast and can not wait to go back next year! They are building the worlds tallest water slide! AH scccary. But I can't wait to see how it turns out and Andrew can not wait to ride it.

We also spent an evening at Theater in the Park. I loved going to this when I was younger. We got there early and threw the football around and kicked the soccer ball, ate some yummy pizza and waited for the show to begin. We saw Peter in the Pan. It was great. Turned out to be such a fun night with the family.

Celebrating my birthday by jumping on the hotel beds!
Saturday was my BIRTHDAY! I turned 22. Yipppppie. We spent 8 hours of the day in the car driving to Denver, CO. It wasn't too bad of a drive and once we got there we got to go explore and hang out a little. We spent the day listening to Taylor Swift's 22. It's my theme for the year.. HA! Once in Denver we went miniature golfing and then met up with my sister Kjerstin who I had not seen since I got married almost 3 years ago! wowwwza. It was great to see her and where she lived and works and all that jazz. We had dinner with her and then just went back to the hotel and hung out/ rested/ fell asleep.

On Sunday we drove another 8 hours to Provo. It was a lot of driving that wasn't even close to being over for this trip. Luckily we got there safely and we didn't kill each other along the way!

The next two days I spent finishing my internship, which was pretty bitter sweet. Then we left Andrew, who had to work for the week, and we all headed to Idaho! Like I said, lots of driving that wasn't close to being over.

It was wonderful to be able to spend so much time with my family. Stay tuned for more pictures and stories of our adventures with them!!

You can not have too many pictures of that little boy cheesing.
So as you can tell this was Taeden's Birthday.
Isn't it just ADORABLE!
All the decor and that Cake! Man it is awesome.
My sister is awesome. yup.
I think Taeden had a great birthday. He loved all of his presents and is now learning to become a professional basketball player. yup he is already in training.
and he is an official Mickey Mouse lover. aren't those ears just ador on him!
I hope you enjoy me showing off my nephew. It is great having him so close. I cherish it and know it will be heartbreaking having to move away from them.
Hope you guys are having an awesome week!
Andrew is tackling finals and I am tackling getting all of my last minute projects done before Spring Break and school starting. Use your time wisely is the modo around these parts.

p.s- want to hear my morning story real quick?
this needs to be documented.

So last thursdayish I call Evans Beauty College to set up an appointment to get my hair did cause it looks blah..too grown out at the roots. SO, called, said I would like to get it done next tuesday, Tuesday the 3rd. and the girl is like alright I have you down for tuesday with Shelby at 10am. PERFECT.

Now fast forward to this morning. I struggle to get out of bed, get ready real quick, and head on over.
As I pull up I notice there are NO, let me repeat, NO cars in the parking lot.
I pull up to the front door and what do I see?
A sign that says we are closed for April the 3rd and 4th for our SPRING BREAK!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????

yes I yelled this in the car. How do you schedule someone OVER YOUR SPRING BREAK???
Honestly I still don't get it and I am very upset with this place and will NEVER be going back.
That was the last straw. The first one was them messing up my hair a while back. and I was giving them a second chance. but i guess they really didn't want one.
so next up is Paul Mitchell beauty school tomorrow at 10:45
they better get it right cause lady is hanging on by a thread when it comes to getting my hair did.

great story right?? YES! give me a few days and I will be able to laugh about it. As for right now, I am steaming :)

Have a great day :)
