Happiest Day of my Life

Four years and one month ago today, it truly was the happiest day of my life.
I was sealed to the love of my life for time and all eternity, in the Los Angeles California Temple.

From that moment forward I knew that I could be with Andrew for forever and that made me the happiest I had ever been. And every day after with him is filled with laughter and love. One of my favorite qualities of his would be his humor. He brings me up when I am feeling down and makes an ordinary day extraordinary. I love his excitement and joy for life and all it has to offer. He has made these past four years the best years of my life. I love him and could not ask for a better man to spend all of eternity with.

Looking back on year three..
  • Fall 2013 semester at BYU
  • BYU Football, lots of football games
    • BYU vs. Texas football game. The rain, the cold, the amazing game! It was awesome!
    • The same night the scooter broke down on our way home. Andrew almost broke his foot making sure we didn't die.
  • Many trips up to Rexburg to visit family, haunt at the straw maze and meet our newest nephew Ryder Jay!
  • Thanksgiving in Rexburg with the Sorensen's. Relaxing and Snowboarding.
  • We hit a deer on our way home, after Thanksgiving.
  • Andrew turned 24!!!
  • Went to Kansas for Christmas with the Browns
  • Andrew went to his first KU game!
  • Andrew continued working as a property manager
  • I took an entrepreneurship class at BYU to finish my major off.
  • Lots of BYU Basketball games!
  • In March 2014 we went to California to spend time with the Sorensen's.
  • In April 2014 I graduated from BYU with a bachelor in Family Life.
  • Also in April, actually the week before graduation we moved to Rexburg, Idaho for Andrew to finish off school at BYU-Idaho.
  • Andrew started school again in April 2014. He had a great semester that gave him great ideas of what he wants to do with his major.
  • I started working at Down East and for an online Fabric company in Idaho Falls.
  • We found out we were pregnant at the end of June! AH
  • I turned 23!!!
  • We spent a lot of time with the Brown's when they came out to Idaho for a couple weeks
  • Annual trip to Lake Powell. Amazing as usual.
  • Took a trip to California before fall semester started.
  • Andrew started his final year of school for his Bachelors!
It has been a busy year and I don't expect any less from the year to come. I expect it to be even more busy! But I know we will have so much fun together and laugh the whole way through. There are a lot of changes coming, which make me a little nervous, but I know that together we can handle anything and everything. Our love and laughter will get us through these busy, crazy, beautiful times.

I love you Andrew English Sorensen. I am so happy to be your wife. Thank you for being my love.

Love, alex :)

Loooove

3 years and 1 month ago today.
I married my best friend. my better half. my favorite person in the world.
in the Los Angeles California Temple.

happy happy happy 3 years and one month anniversary to us. Where has the time gone. I can't believe we are already celebrating another anniversary. I feel that time is flying with this guy. I swear that everyday with him just gets better and better. I am so happy to call him mine and celebrate our lives together.

This year has been crazy dealing with being in school and working. We both have our moments of stress and anxiety but I know that with Andrew he really keeps me grounded and puts me back into perspective. He teaches me something new everyday.

I know I take for granted all the time we get to spend together. I hate being apart from him and love spending time with him. These past three years have been the best years of my life. I love him more and more everyday and I LOVE knowing I get to spend eternity with him.

This year for our anniversary, we went to St. George for a weekend get away with our friends Logan and Alex who celebrated their anniversary on September 6th. It was the weekend before school started so we really tried to relax and enjoy this last real summer get away. We had a great time swimming, watching movies, playing games, going shooting and going four-wheeling. We went out to dinner to thai and sushi. It was SO good. We just love that place.

On the actual day of our anniversary, September 3rd, I started my last first day of school. It was a busy day. Andrew had to work. So we were apart for most the day but that evening we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We really love that place too. Such good food and even better dessert. We loved celebrating how far we have come, talking about the past, present, and future. I love this life we are living and I am so glad I get to live it with the man of my dreams.

I can't wait to see what this next year has to bring.

So a little look back at the past year..

The Best Presidents Day EVER

This day in time was beyond crazy. In the most amazing and wonderful ways. We had gone to St. George for the weekend but had to be home on Monday so that Andrew could go to work even though I didn't have school. The plan was to come home Sunday evening but it got so crazy and Andrew was doing pretty bad with his sickness (yea the one that he STILL has) so we decided to go to bed early and get a good nights rest and then wake up and go in the morning and get there in time for him to get ready for work. Well we got there just in time to go to work. No getting ready. No nothing. Just drop me and all of our stuff off at home and go.
This is a view from this house in St. George. HOW INSAIN is that??
I absolutely love it. It was literally a wall of windows. did I mention I love it.
I was also in a hurry to get out the door again but for a much more awesomer reason :)
My sister Justina and her husband Curtis and my babies, aka Taeden and Caleb, came to town and I was eager to see them. I miss them. A Lot. I need babies in my life to remind me why I don't have babies in my life yet. ha. But really they are the cutest little things and I love this little toddler stage that Taeden is in. THE CUTEST! ah, kills me every time. So we met up at Scheels, also talked about here.

This was so much fun. There was so much for Taeden to look at, and Curtis ;)
I was VERY surprised when Taeden really wanted to ride the Ferris wheel that is in the middle of the whole building. It is really cool looking but I thought he would freak out the moment it got really high but he never did! He enjoyed every moment of it and was sad when he had to get off.
I got to play with Caleb while they road which was equally fun. He is such a happy baby and full of warm smilies. I am kinda in love with all of these pictures I took. So many photo-ops at this place! and stay tuned because once I get more from Justina I mighhht have to post them. (if you think this is a lot, just wait until we have a child..ha)

UHM then the day just got 100 million times BETTER. And lets just say that it was already pushing the couldn't get any better than this day. Well Justina had e-mailed our brother Cameron, who is on a mission for our church in Salt Lake City, and asked him if he would be able to go to lunch with us or something. Well she kept checking her phone the whole time and then finally, 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave he e-mailed her back and said Let me ask my mission president. WELL he did and after a few emails back and forth and a little confusion, the Pres. said YES!
WOOOOOOOOPIE. I was so very very surprised. But I have heard about how awesome he is through a few pretty good sources, so this made him even greater in my eyes.
We met up with him at this really old church in the city. He told us it was this creepy old church and when we pulled up I was like oh my gosh this place is beautiful. HA guess we have two different perspectives on the beauty of old architecture. He was writing his letters home so we just sat around and talked with him and a few other missionaries. Then we went to crown burger so we could eat and talk some more of course.

Elder Brown writing home.

Holding Baby Caleb for the first time.

Oh just chillaxing with Elder Brown.. T is really into it.
It was so wonderful talking with him. He has such an amazing spirit. I still can't even believe that he is a missionary. He is so dedicated to the spanish community in Salt Lake City. I loved hearing him speak in spanish. It is beautiful and he is amazing at it. I can't believe that in 8 months he can speak complete sentences and have conversations in spanish. HOW COOL. I feel so blessed to be a member of this wonderful church and I am so proud of my little brother for being so selfless and giving up two years of his life to serve the Lord. What a glorious thing he is doing. I look up to him for the wonderful faith he has and exudes not only in his letters but to every person he meets. The whole time we talked all he did was tell us about the people he is meeting and teaching. I know that really loves the people there and truly has a testimony of the things that he is teaching. I just love him so much.
Caleb is freakin out. bahh. He loved Elder Browns name tag.
Me and Elder Brown. YAY

It was one of those perfect days. I loved seeing everyone and catching up and just relaxing with family. I love them all so very very much.
I guess this post is a little mushy too. Ah, I guess I just love my family so much I have to share it with the world. Its grrrreat.

p.s - is saying love 11, well now 12 times too much for one post?

Day of Love

How can you look at that face and not love it??? Everyone, this is going to be a mushy post, I will make it quick, but just to warn you, if you really must stop reading now. But you will miss my awesomeness :))

how could I see that lovely box of chocolates at the store and not get it for him?
If I was to ever get into fantasy football or any fantasy sport for that matter he would be my #1. And he always will be.
Valentines day. oh me oh my. It is a good day. BUT I must say I like to express my love for this guy all of the time and not just on a special holiday. but still how can you not celebrate the day of LOOOVE.
I have decided that I want to decorate like crazy for this holiday. This year I was pretty proud of myself. I made a banner and everything!! Woop Woop! and then I had a TON of those window stickers and put them everywhere. Andrew really loved this touch as cupid was placed on the microwave and is still there at this moment because either 1) I am too lazy to take them down or 2) I just love this holiday too much to take the love away. Lets go with the latter.

It was still a pretty normal chillaxy(ha) day for us. It was my day to sleep in because I didn't have class until noon (hallelujah), so that was glorious in and of itself. Unfortunately the mister did have to work at 8am sooooo he was kinda out of luck on that one. Sorry lover. But I did have a test that day so I guess we were even on that scale of things. So after my glorious sleeping I woke up to find these two beauties in the kitchen.
This guy... oh man.
That watch is KILLER if you didn't know. It has a mother of pearl facing. Sometimes I just like to say that.. Mother of Pearl. I picture myself yelling at someone saying that and then laughing because it sounds so funny. BUT isn't it just stunning. didn't he do amaaaze. and I was pretty sure we were doing cheapo gifts this year... like as in $15 in chocolates. I would have been happy with that.
But he did good. really really good.

We went to dinner at this Thai place we both love which is awesome because we all know how obsessed with thai food I am. Yea, then we came home and ate chocolate covered strawberries because those are both our favorites.

It was a great day. He is an amazing man. And I really can't tell you how happy I am to be by his side for eternity. He keeps me on my toes. I am laughing constantly. and I know we can get through anything together.
He is my best friend in the entire world and I love spending every moment I possibly can together.
And honestly it is a lot of time lately and I LOVE IT. Sometimes I think about the future.. like when there are little chillians running around and he has a 8-5 or 6 or 7 or 8 o'clock job and we barely see each other, yea that is when I really really truly treasure these days we have right now.

Okay I will stop with the mushy but I am so glad he is my Valentine.
Hope you all had a wonderful day of looove, like a month ago :)

HAPPY

2 years and 1 month ago today.
I married my best friend in the Los Angeles Temple.
and it has only gotten better and better since.
Day One
Happppy 2 years and one month Anniversary to US!
Last year I didn't write about our anniversary until October 3rd so I decided I should do the same this year. What a great tradition. and What a year we have had!! I can't believe we have been married for two years. One of the first things Andrew said about our two years was that that is what a mission feels like. and it made me think of all those people who left for their missions when we got married... they are all COMING HOME! my gosh I have been married for as long as a mission is. and really that doesn't seem very long but for me it is. and for all those missionaries, it is a long time. SO way to go missionaries and way to go us!!
One year

It has been one heck of an amazing year. What can I say.. things just keep getting better and better with this guy. I just keep falling more and more in love with him. I really never knew what people meant when they said that their love is stronger than the day they married. The day I married Andrew I thought I loved him to the extreme but today I can honestly say I love him more than the day I married him.  Just think of the song by Brad Paisley, And I thought I loved you then. Yup thats how I feel. and really those words are exactly how it happened for us. I seriously could not stop looking at Andrew that Sunday at church when I met him. and now he is my whole life.

Will you Marry me?

Marry me?

A year ago today my best friend asked me to marry him.
and guess what??
I said yes :)

It has been simply amazing.
I could not ask for a better man to spend the rest of eternity with.
and I am so so so so soooo glad we will be together forever.
it is my fairytale come true.
i love my mr.
and
i love being a mrs.

This are pictures from the night we got engaged.. we went to dinner with friends and later that night he asked :)

How he asked told by Alex:

The whole week before we were planning on having a "going away" party for one of our friends.
We were planning on going out to eat and then getting a projector set up and watching a movie out under the stars. all week I was really excited about it and planning on having this "party" that everyone was talking about. Well Saturday rolls around and I have to work, then we go to the "Rexburg waterfight" (which was awesome btw) and then Anna (andrews sister) and a bunch of others want to go bridge jumping...well andrew is like I have a bunch of stuff to do around town so I don't really want to go. So I was like okay I will just stay here with you and go run errands. well Anna ended up convincing me to go with them so that I wouldn't be "bored" with andrew "cough cough figure out what was going on cough." I go bridge jumping with everyone.. (turned out to be SO much fun and I actually jumped..ah so so so scary) and when we get back we shower and all the girls are like oh lets get cute for dinner.
So I am like alright awesome I love getting all dolled up.
We go to dinner at Wingers, and the guy that we are throwing the "party" for is only there for like 30 minutes so I thought that was kinda strange...hello this was for him..well at least I thought it all was.
We go back to the house and Andrew is like freaking out about getting everything all set up.. and he is acting really weird.. I had NO idea what was going on, just thought he was annoyed or something that he was the one having to get everything set up.
We all get blankets and pillows and get laid out in the grass and pick out a movie and all.
Anna goes to put it in and....
my face pops up on the screen.
it was an ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh moment.
for a slipt second I was like why the heck is my face on the screen.
I turned to andrew and hid in embarrassment realizing what was going on.
and from there on out everything started clicking.
this was not a party for our friend...
it was all for me.
Andrew made a video of pictures of us.
some of us dating, some of just me making funny faces, and some of me when I was a little girl (thank you dad)
and it was all playing to our song.
Michael Buble - Everything
At the end of the pictures it said a bunch of sweet stuff.
he then pulled me up and he knelt down, pulled out the ring and said,
Alex, will you marry me?
and of course I said YES, yes, yes,
of course yes.
and the rest is history :)

Beautiful right?
YES!
If you want to see the video it is the post just below this one :)

yes, I was the ONLY one that had no idea what was going on the whole week, day, hour, everything! up until my face was projected onto the side of a house..ha
mr. pulled it off really good didn't he?
even my roommates knew because they heard someone talking about it.. ha.
good thing I don't catch on too easily.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday :)
